More than a year and a half after the last published version, release 4 is finally available. Its objective is mainly technical : we've refactored the code in order to prepare the ground for future evolutions. The core classes have been rewritten using more Spring 4 features, like annotations, which combined with a renaming of the core classes has lead to a better simplification and a more robust structure. Therefore, if you have written your own extensions or embedded BroadSQL, you'll probably have to evaluate the impact before upgrading to release 4.
In terms of functionalities, there's little change :
- some parameters are made available in the INI file such as the default file name for export
- actions in the $CDF database are no more logged
