BroadSQL is free to use, and its published source code is licensed under Apache-2.0.

BroadSQL's source code is published at
github.com/lico/broadsql-source under the
Apache License, Version 2.0. The
LICENSE file in that repository is the authoritative text. In plain terms, the license
lets you:
- use BroadSQL for any purpose, personal or commercial, including paid consulting, support, or managed-service work for others;
- modify it;
- redistribute it, modified or not, including as part of a product you sell.
In return, you keep the copyright and license notices, state significant changes you made, and accept that the software is provided as is, without warranty. The license also includes a patent grant from the contributors. There is no fee, and no separate commercial license is needed.
Third-party components
BroadSQL bundles a number of open-source libraries, each under its own license: see Third-party dependencies for the full list, their versions, and their licenses. If you redistribute BroadSQL, you are responsible for also honoring the license terms of every third-party component included in it.
Third-party extensions
BroadSQL can load extra commands from JAR files you drop into its extensions folder
(see Extending BroadSQL). BroadSQL does not review, validate, or
endorse extensions written by anyone other than UpAndCoding.com, whether shared publicly or written
for internal use. Install and run a third-party extension at your own risk, the same way you would
any other JAR of unknown origin.
