Privacy
This is a simple, static website: no accounts, no forms, no cookies, no tracking. Here is exactly what little data is involved, and your rights over it.
Last updated: 29 August 2026.
What data we collect
Browsing this website does not collect any personal data about you. There are no accounts, no newsletter signup, and no forms anywhere on the site. Downloading BroadSQL from the Downloads page does not require registering, and does not send any information to us: the file is served directly, the same way any other file on this website is.
The only way we receive anything from you is if you choose to email us via the Contact page: whatever you include in that email, typically your name and email address, is used only to reply to you, and is not added to any list or used for anything else.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technology on this website. If we ever embed content from a third party (for example, a video hosted on YouTube), that third party may set its own cookies once you interact with it; where that applies, it will be noted specifically next to that content, and we choose privacy-respecting embed options where they exist.
Server logs
Like any website, our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, page requested, time, browser type) to operate and secure the site. These logs are not used to track or profile visitors, are not linked to any identity, are not shared with anyone, and are kept only as long as needed for that operational and security purpose.
Marketing
We do not send marketing emails and do not collect a mailing list through this website.
Your data protection rights
If you have emailed us and want to know what we hold, or want it corrected or deleted, you have the following rights and can exercise any of them by contacting us:
- The right to access: a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- The right to rectification: correcting information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- The right to erasure: having your data deleted, where applicable.
- The right to restrict or object to processing, where applicable.
- The right to data portability: receiving your data, or having it transferred, in a usable format.
We aim to respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your country's data protection supervisory authority.
Links to other websites
This website links to other sites (for example, GitHub, or third-party content we embed). Our privacy policy applies only to this website; once you follow a link elsewhere, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Changes to this policy
If how this website handles data ever changes, this page will be updated, with the date above kept current.
