Connect to SQLite
The SQLite JDBC driver is included in BroadSQL. A SQLite database is a file: the URL is its path.
| Driver | Bundled with BroadSQL (SQLite JDBC driver 3.53.2.1); nothing to download. |
|---|---|
Type to choose in ADD CONNECTION or CONFIG | SQLite |
| URL format | jdbc:sqlite:<path to the database file> |
| Example | jdbc:sqlite:data/inventory.db |
| Where the URL format comes from | sqlite-jdbc README, checked October 17, 2026 |
| Verified with BroadSQL | The driver is bundled and is part of the BroadSQL release. The example URL above was not run by the BroadSQL team for this page. |
Steps
ADD CONNECTION INVENTORY;(orCONFIG;on Windows), typeSQLite, URLjdbc:sqlite:data/inventory.db. SQLite itself has no user accounts.CONNECT INVENTORY;.
A relative path is resolved from the BroadSQL installation folder, since the launchers start BroadSQL there; use an absolute path for a file elsewhere.
On SQLite
- Ctrl+C stops a running SQLite query at once (see Interactive console).
- DDL statements do not force a commit on SQLite, so BroadSQL can roll them back with the transaction.
SET PASSWORDdoes not apply to SQLite.
